Please consider this a companion post to the much heralded "Babes of Star Trek" posts one and two. I'll try to not have any image repeats, but it'll be the same gals and similar information. Despite the redundancy, this post simply had to be made. The original Star Trek is the crown jewel in the world of miniskirts. It says: in the future, when we are more advanced and enlightened, women will wear short dresses. Gene Roddenberry is the Patron Saint of miniskirts, and this post is a tribute to his grand contribution to the mini. We can only hope that his vision of the future will be so leggy.
Yeoman Janice Rand, played by Grace Lee Whitney.
Marianna Hill as Lt. Helen Noel. Marianna, cousin of General H. Norman Schwarzkopf.
Majel Barrett-Roddenberry as Nurse Chapel. In this episode ("What Are Little Girls Made Of?", Season 1, Episode 7), viewers are treated to a wonderfully long look at a variety of camera angles. The scene where Chapel and Kirk wander through the network of cave tunnels could very well be considered an homage to the mini. I would be remiss to not chronicle it here.
Barbara Anderson as Lenore Karidian in Episode 13. Kirk is smitten.
Yeoman Rand gives Karidian a "look".
Phyllis Douglas as Yoeman Mears in Episode 16 "The Galileo Seven". She spends the entire episode in that chair.
Emily Banks as Yeoman Tonia Barrows in "Shore Leave" (Season 1, Episode 15).
Elinor Donahue of Father Knows Best in "Metamorphosis" (Season 2, Episode 9). She also played Chris Elliot's mom on Get a Life.
Venita Wolf as Yeoman Teresa Ross in Episode 17 "The Squire of Gothos".
Madlyn Rhue as Lt. Marla McGivers in the infamous Khan episode ("Space Seed" Episode 22 Season 1).
And here's some more "incidental minis" for good measure....
I have absolutely no idea who this gal is; she simply steels a scene in the Enterprise break room and is never seen again.
And I'll end with the one and only Uhura., Queen of the Mini.
